Last Call!



OH BOY! There are a lot of last calls this week! The Voting for the Best Bookstagram Contest is coming to a close. The Submissions for Windows into the Multiverse and the Book Fan Art Contest are also closing. Everything is happening


January 31st at Midnight EST


We have strong submissions for the Windows into the Multiverse Contest, but I must admit that I have not received a single submission for the Book Fan Art Contest. That means that this contest will probably be cancelled. Whether it is a combination of the amount of illness that is going around and Winter doldrums, I do not know, but I have secured SOME book fan art for the upcoming edition. I implore you, if you know of a character artist who would like some free advertising, send them my way. I will be happy to promote their business.

If I am being honest, things in my personal life lately have been pretty stressful. People I love were having major surgery, friends of mine are hurting, my kiddos were sick, and in the last week, 3 women close to me have either had a baby, are actively having a baby, or are trying to save their pregnancy. I don't know how you deal with stress, but even though I am worlds better at it than I once was, I am not great at it. Others' pain and hardship weigh on me as if it were my own. Realm Makers Conference

I missed you guys last week! The conference took all of my focus and energy. I went. I saw. I talked and talked and talked and talked...you get the idea. Being an extrovert wading in a sea of introverts, I must admit to being rather intimidated. Not that I don't know how to talk to introverted individuals (my husband is a super introvert after all), but it usually takes some time for people to warm up to my rather boisterous personality. I tried to curb my enthusiasm so as not to frighten people away and waste what little time I had with each person. I focused on making every interaction count by both being myself (not some sort of marketing robot) and offering what I could to help/support their business. If you missed it, being an author is a small business and if you know me you know that I LOVE supporting small businesses. And there I was, SURROUNDED by small businesses that I could help. I hope that everyone is having a great week and happy Wednesday to you all! I am pleased to say that the Book Cosplay Contest is in full swing, but of course we could always use more entrants (You have until July 31, 2021)!
