Deadline Has Arrived



Today is the last day to vote for the Cover Art Contest. I can't give away how things are going so far, but I can say that we have a total of 619 votes that have already been cast. The deadline for votes is midnight EST.


Things have been a lot quieter this week than last if you do not count the fact that my kiddos have been in VBS all week. They are loving it. My favorite VBS memory was the music and the concerts that we would put on for the parents at the end of the week. I am sure that it was made even more fun by the fact that it was usually my high-energy Grandmother who was running things. The very same STILL high-energy Grandmother that proofreads our magazine! Realm Makers Conference

I missed you guys last week! The conference took all of my focus and energy. I went. I saw. I talked and talked and talked and talked...you get the idea. Being an extrovert wading in a sea of introverts, I must admit to being rather intimidated. Not that I don't know how to talk to introverted individuals (my husband is a super introvert after all), but it usually takes some time for people to warm up to my rather boisterous personality. I tried to curb my enthusiasm so as not to frighten people away and waste what little time I had with each person. It's a Beautiful Day

If I am being honest, things in my personal life lately have been pretty stressful. People I love were having major surgery, friends of mine are hurting, my kiddos were sick, and in the last week, 3 women close to me have either had a baby, are actively having a baby, or are trying to save their pregnancy. I don't know how you deal with stress, but even though I am worlds better at it than I once was, I am not great at it. Others' pain and hardship weigh on me as if it were my own. Lately, I have been floundering under the weight, but in the midst of the hardest day, God sent me a smile in the shape of a young boy singing a song. And now I want to share the words with you because I am well aware that as long as we live in this world and not the next, we will have strife and hardship. I am pleased to say that the Book Cosplay Contest is in full swing, but of course we could always use more entrants (You have until July 31, 2021)!
