Today is the day that we announce the winners of the Windows into the Multiverse Writing Contest Winter 2022. Due to the sponsorship of Havok Publishing, we received more submissions than we ever have! It has always been difficult to choose a winner or winners for this contest because frankly, we do what we do because we LOVE AUTHORS! When there are so many strong submissions it makes the choices even harder! With the help of some of the Clean Fiction Staff, we have narrowed the winners down to 5 outstanding submissions that used the given image to its best advantage. Through these stories, you will visit a post-nuclear version of Earth, the fields of Heaven, an internal struggle with fear, a captivating beach, and a cavern full of crystals and danger. Update: We have received only one submission for this contest as of yet. So make sure you break out that tinsel and holly! I can't wait to see what you come up with!


Take a Christmas-y photo of your favorite book or a fancy photo of your favorite Christmas book and send it to Clean Fiction Magazine. Our contests are not meant to be complicated, just fun! Submissions will begin November 1st and ends November 16th. Voting will begin November 17st and go through November 26th. (See our website for the small print). Do you have to be an author to participate? Nope. Can you be an author and participate? Yep. This is purely a contest to see who can take/make the most festive picture of their favorite CHRISTMAS book (even if that book is the equivalent to Die Hard being your favorite Christmas movie)! Is that fun or what? If you win you will receive a $25 Amazon Gift Card to use in buying even MORE Christmas books to warm up the winter season.

To submit your photo, simply email info@cleanfictionmagazine.com the following: Your Photo, Your Name, Title/Author of the Book (if it is not clearly visible in the photo), an Email Address (for contact purposes), and Your Social Media Handle/Website.

I missed you guys last week! The conference took all of my focus and energy. I went. I saw. I talked and talked and talked and talked...you get the idea. Being an extrovert wading in a sea of introverts, I must admit to being rather intimidated. Not that I don't know how to talk to introverted individuals (my husband is a super introvert after all), but it usually takes some time for people to warm up to my rather boisterous personality. I tried to curb my enthusiasm so as not to frighten people away and waste what little time I had with each person. It's a Beautiful Day

If I am being honest, things in my personal life lately have been pretty stressful. People I love were having major surgery, friends of mine are hurting, my kiddos were sick, and in the last week, 3 women close to me have either had a baby, are actively having a baby, or are trying to save their pregnancy. I don't know how you deal with stress, but even though I am worlds better at it than I once was, I am not great at it. Others' pain and hardship weigh on me as if it were my own. Lately, I have been floundering under the weight, but in the midst of the hardest day, God sent me a smile in the shape of a young boy singing a song. And now I want to share the words with you because I am well aware that as long as we live in this world and not the next, we will have strife and hardship. I hope that everyone is having a great week and happy Wednesday to you all! I am pleased to say that the Book Cosplay Contest is in full swing, but of course we could always use more entrants (You have until July 31, 2021)!
