Almost There

 

Hello All! Sorry to have missed you last week, but I was in sunny Florida for a family vacation and by the time I realized what day it was it was too late. The vacation itself was rather ill-timed considering our deadline, but it could not be helped. The past few days I have been working feverishly to have a finished magazine for March 1st and I expect to continue to do so as soon as I am done sending out this missive. This year has been the year of uncomfortable things. I have put myself out there in ways that I never anticipated. Publishing my debut novel. Cold calling businesses and authors. Throwing myself into a community that I was not sure would accept me. Through it all God has brought people to help me along the way. To encourage me and to remind me that my hopes could be physical instead of ephemeral. So I will use this week's correspondence to thank a few people who have helped me along the way. Autumn Beauty

I have had the distinct pleasure to be caught in a few "leaf showers" lately. Watching the bright yellows and deep crimsons flutter around me on the brisk breeze is a gift so magical it could only be created by the Father. I don't know about you, but when I look upon the wonders of the natural world I see Him. His delicate violet brushstrokes on the tiniest of flowers. His laugh in the endless fields of golden rod rippling like waves in the wind. His love in the bright sun that lights the warm tones of autumn in a dazzling display of vibrancy. I am humbled to behold such beauty in this single human existence that I have been given. How does God show you Himself in the natural world around you?
