The next awesome thing that happened this week is that I had the wonderful privilege to be interviewed by Ricky Pope of the Christian Nerds Unite Podcast. I am extremely honored and humbled by this opportunity. Ricky was really fun and easy to talk to. The interview lasts slightly over 47 minutes, but I know that we talked way longer than that. It was really great to get the chance to chat with another like-minded Christian brother whose level of nerd was similar to my own. Realm Makers Conference

I missed you guys last week! The conference took all of my focus and energy. I went. I saw. I talked and talked and talked and talked...you get the idea. Being an extrovert wading in a sea of introverts, I must admit to being rather intimidated. Not that I don't know how to talk to introverted individuals (my husband is a super introvert after all), but it usually takes some time for people to warm up to my rather boisterous personality. I tried to curb my enthusiasm so as not to frighten people away and waste what little time I had with each person. I focused on making every interaction count by both being myself (not some sort of marketing robot) and offering what I could to help/support their business. It's a Beautiful Day

If I am being honest, things in my personal life lately have been pretty stressful. People I love were having major surgery, friends of mine are hurting, my kiddos were sick, and in the last week, 3 women close to me have either had a baby, are actively having a baby, or are trying to save their pregnancy. I don't know how you deal with stress, but even though I am worlds better at it than I once was, I am not great at it. Others' pain and hardship weigh on me as if it were my own. Lately, I have been floundering under the weight, but in the midst of the hardest day, God sent me a smile in the shape of a young boy singing a song. And now I want to share the words with you because I am well aware that as long as we live in this world and not the next, we will have strife and hardship. I am pleased to say that the Book Cosplay Contest is in full swing, but of course we could always use more entrants (You have until July 31, 2021)!
